Everett Centre

Prior to its restoration in 2007, the 650m2 heritage listed building had been abandoned and had fallen into a severe state of disrepair. Working in conjunction with the Department of Environment, Water Heritage and the Arts, Essendon Fields was able to reinstate the building.  Formally known as the Operations and Meteorology Centre, the building was renamed "The Everett Centre" after Percy Everett (1888 - 1967), the Chief Architect of the Victorian Public Works Department, who designed a number of buildings in Melbourne and Essendon Airport.
