Aviation Hangers

The expansion of Tullamarine Freeway, associated with the redevelopment of the Tullamarine Calder Interchange (TCI) saw the demolition of one existing hangar and the reduction in size of a second hangar at Essendon Airport. In its place the demolition followed the construction of four new hangars that accommodated displaced users and responded to the increased demand for modern aircraft storage space, each new hangar can accommodate two Bombardair Global Express executive jets. In addition, a new road was built providing secure direct vehicle access to each of the new hangars.
