  • New passenger terminal opens at Essendon Airport.

  • The Beatles land at Essendon Airport.

  1970

  • Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine) opens for International operations.

  2001

  • Linfox Group and Beck Corporation acquire a 99-year lease for Essendon Airport.

  2006

  • First Master Plan for Essendon Airport is approved.

• 

  2007

  • Essendon Fields House is completed.
  • Four new state-of-the-art hangars are built for corporate jets.
  • Armaguard National Headquarters is completed.
  • Australia Post is completed.
  • Essendon Fields Shopping Centre is completed.
  • Koala Child Care centre is completed.
  • Everett Centre is completed.
  • Runway lighting and security are upgraded.

  • Australia Post eLetter is completed.
  • The new Victorian Government Emergency Services hangar for Police and Ambulance and office complex are officially opened.
  • Linfox National Head Office is completed.
  • Beaufort Building refurbishment is completed.
