Work on the project began in April, which will provide easier access for employees and visitors for years to come, is expected to take 5 months, finishing in September 2010.
General Manager, Rob Whitwell said that the new entrance “will provide better traffic management with wider lanes and easier traffic flow for employees and visitors.”
Transforming the entrance to Essendon Fields, will see dramatic new landscaping, more efficient traffic management and new road surfacing.
The finishing touches to the project will incorporate new signage into the park and an iconic sculpture. “All new structures will be designed to be as environmentally sustainable and energy efficient as possible” Rob Whitwell said.
