AUTOCENTRO One of a kind
Melbourne’s newest AUTOCENTRO is located on Wirraway Road in the North of Essendon Fields Precinct. Eight major car dealerships, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Hyundai, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ford have new show rooms at Essendon Fields.
The AUTOCENTRO concept provides a one stop auto shopping strip along Wirraway Road with an array of dealers being parallel and side by side. This enables shoppers to walk through dealerships and compare, rather than drive from dealer to dealer.
Pre-Delivery for AUTOCENTRO
Supporting the new Auto Dealerships at AUTOCENTRO, construction of Auto Pre-Delivery Facilities are now underway at Essendon Fields. When complete the facilities will accommodate storage of approximately 1,300 cars over an area of 23,000m2. Three individual buildings with state-of-the-art facilities will provide all necessary functions for preparation of new vehicles for sale in the Dealerships in nearby AUTOCENTRO.
Northern Access
A multi million dollar investment in Essendon Fields' internal road structure is now complete, as part of our commitment to ease congestion. Northern Access continues onto Wirraway Road (which is a main road throughout the business park) and the surrounding road network. The upgrade also included landscaping, footpaths, street lighting and under ground cabling of all power and telecommunications connections.
The new Northern Access is an additional entry to the site other than the current English Street.
Australia Post
Australia Post now have a new 4313m2 mail delivery centre located north of the Precinct along Wirraway Road. The project consists of a mail sorting and delivery operation consolidates three other facilities into one. It will service all suburbs domicile in the vicinity of Essendon Airport. A great benefit to locals with a more efficient mail delivery service.
Australia Post in talks for second building
Australia Post is currently in discussions with Essendon Fields for a second facility to be built opposite the current distribution centre on Larkin Court. This will be the eLetter facility.
